Populary known as MDGs, the Mellinium Development Goals for kenya to be achieve by 2030, is still in its initail stages and in great hope of achieveing the vision 2030.
Maybe we should shed some light on what the MDGs Forum haboured.
The following are the MDGs:
MDG 1: ERADICATE EXTREME POVERTY AND HUNGER
Recently, the Government elaborated a new development blueprint, the Vision 2030 that aims at making Kenya a newly industrializing, middle income country providing high quality of life for its citizens by the year 2030, through its Economic Social and Political Pillars. poverty reducing by 17% point decline in poverty.
MDG 2: ACHIEVE UNIVERSAL PRIMARY EDUCATION
Free primary education saw the National Gross Enrolment in Primary School rise from 93% in 2002 to 107.7% in 2007 while the Net Enrolment Rate for 2006 was 86.5% attributed to the introduction of free primary education.
MDG 3: PROMOTE GENDER EQUALITY AND EMPOWER WOMEN
Policy and institutional arrangements have been strengthened in the gender sector to promote women participation in development, including the establishment of the ministry and commission in charge of gender issues. Affirmative action has also been introduced in the recruitment and promotions of personnel in the public sector

MDG 5: IMPROVE MATERNAL HEALTH
MDG 6: COMBAT HIV/AIDS, MALARIA AND OTHER DISEASES
MDG 7: ENSURE ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY
MDG 8: DEVELOP A GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP FOR DEVELOPMENT
